Website design: Public Sector.

Websites, digital products, branding and design, built for the people who use them.

Prolific Digital designs and builds websites for park districts and public agencies. Residents come to a public website with a job to do: find a program and sign up, find the nearest park, or find last year’s budget. The site has to get every one of them there, on a phone and for people of every ability, and it has to keep up with the systems staff already run.

We rebuilt Streamwood Park District’s website on WordPress with live RecTrac program data, an interactive parks map and a transparency hub, so residents can find and register for programs faster. For Hoffman Estates Park District, we did a full redesign and rebuild, with a RecTrac and WebTrac integration and advanced search and mapping. When Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport put its website out to RFP, we answered with a working concept that leads with flight status, a time-to-leave trip planner and parking booking. And we developed the WordPress site for Globetrotters Engineering Corporation, which shows more than 50 years of its Chicago architecture, engineering and infrastructure work.

Questions

Questions public agencies ask.

  • Yes. We rebuilt Streamwood Park District’s website on WordPress and did a full redesign and rebuild for Hoffman Estates Park District. Both are in Illinois: we work with districts and agencies wherever they are.

  • Yes. Both of our park district sites connect to RecTrac, so program details come from the records staff already manage instead of a second copy that drifts out of date. Hoffman Estates’ integration also covers WebTrac, where residents register.

  • The Department of Justice’s ADA Title II rule asks state and local government websites to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Under its April 2026 interim final rule, the deadlines are April 26, 2027 for public entities serving 50,000 people or more, and April 26, 2028 for smaller entities and special districts; a court challenge could still change them. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA, the newer version of that standard, and test with keyboards and screen readers before launch.

  • Yes. Send yours through our contact form with its due date. For Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport’s website RFP, we designed and built a working concept site as part of our answer.

  • Somewhere residents can find them without knowing which department posted them. Streamwood Park District’s site has a transparency hub that gathers the public record in one place.
