Website design: Education.

Websites, digital products, branding and design, built for the people who use them.

Prolific Digital designs and builds websites for universities, scholarship programs and the libraries that serve students and readers. An education website is often the first step in a decision that matters: whether to apply, whether a student qualifies, where to find the next book. It has to make that path clear, and it has to work for every student, including those who use assistive technology.

We redesigned the Cobell Scholarship’s website to guide Native students from eligibility to application, with a clear, encouraging path into its OASIS application portal. The result: more qualified scholarship applications and fewer unqualified ones. For Alliant International University, we designed the website and its animation, and the work increased brand awareness and registrations. And we migrated Louis Library from WordPress to Next.js hosted on Vercel, giving readers a faster way to discover their next great read.

Questions

Questions schools and programs ask.

  • Yes. We redesigned the Cobell Scholarship’s website, which led to more qualified applications and fewer unqualified ones, and designed Alliant International University’s website, which increased brand awareness and registrations.

  • Yes. The Cobell Scholarship’s site walks Native students from eligibility to application, then into the OASIS portal to apply.

  • Public colleges, universities and school districts are covered by the ADA Title II rule, which asks for WCAG 2.1 AA, and every student deserves a site they can use. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA from the first wireframe, then test with keyboards and screen readers before launch.

  • Sometimes. We moved Louis Library from WordPress to Next.js on Vercel to make it faster for readers; for other sites, WordPress is the better fit. We recommend a platform after discovery, not before.
