Kentucky Music Trail

The Kentucky Music Trail is an exciting new initiative led by Visit Ashland Kentucky, with support from Kentucky Tourism and Team Kentucky. The project aims to celebrate Kentucky’s rich musical heritage, connecting people to the heart of Appalachian and Bluegrass culture. Our role in this project was extensive, as we worked on branding, copywriting, design, website development, ad campaigns, and a commercial—all with the goal of bringing this new experience to life and raising awareness about Kentucky’s vibrant music scene.

Branding and Identity

We created the branding for the Kentucky Music Trail, developing a visual identity that felt authentic, celebratory, and reflective of the region’s musical heritage. The logo and color scheme were designed to evoke the warmth of Kentucky’s culture, inviting audiences to explore the music, history, and locations featured along the trail.

Copywriting

The copywriting for this project was centered around storytelling—telling the story of Kentucky’s music and its influence on American culture. We aimed to create engaging content that highlighted the history, musicians, and experiences visitors could expect, making them excited to explore the trail.

Ad Campaigns and Commercial

To boost awareness of the Kentucky Music Trail, we created a series of ad campaigns, including both digital and print materials. We also produced a commercial that captured the essence of the music trail—highlighting the artists, the beautiful Kentucky landscape, and the sense of community. The campaigns were targeted at drawing in tourists and locals alike, encouraging exploration of Kentucky’s musical heritage.

Design and Website Development

We designed and developed the Kentucky Music Trail website to serve as both an informational hub and an interactive experience for users. The design was visually rich, incorporating elements from the Kentucky landscape and musical traditions. The website provided visitors with easy navigation to explore the trail’s key stops, upcoming events, and unique stories behind each location.

Impact and Community Engagement

Our goal throughout this project was to elevate both the music and the communities that make Kentucky unique. By creating a cohesive brand experience and providing accessible tools for exploration, we helped foster a deeper appreciation for Kentucky’s music and culture, driving both awareness and community engagement.
