Set the Scene

Set the Scene was a passion project that allowed us to celebrate the performing arts organizations in Louisville. We wanted to create a brand awareness campaign that was engaging and fun, especially for a younger audience. Our approach involved hand-illustrating a scene that depicted larger-than-life representations of Louisville’s major performing arts groups—the Louisville Orchestra, Louisville Ballet, The Louisville Actors Theater, and Kentucky Opera—using iconic elements of the Louisville skyline in a playful and imaginative way.

Illustrative Branding and Concept Design

We created a hand-illustrated campaign that brought each performing arts organization to life in a vibrant, visually striking scene. Each group was represented by a larger-than-life subject that embodied the spirit of their art form, seamlessly integrated with recognizable features of the Louisville skyline. The design aimed to connect with a younger audience, sparking their interest in the arts through a dynamic and approachable illustration style.

Brand Awareness Campaign

The goal of this campaign was to elevate awareness of the performing arts scene in Louisville. We aimed to make the arts accessible and appealing, particularly to younger demographics. The hand-illustrated scene not only celebrated the city’s cultural institutions but also positioned them as part of the everyday cultural experience, showcasing the arts as both grand and approachable. The campaign visuals were adaptable for posters, social media, and other promotional materials, helping extend the reach and impact of the message.
